Steve graduated from Queen's University with a Masters degree in English Literature. He also graduated with a bachelors degree from University of Western Ontario, where he was a Double Gold Medalist for the Highest Graduating Average in both English and History. He has received numerous awards, including the Swankie Award in American History, one of Canada's largest undergraduate history awards. He was also elected High School Valedictorian.

He scored 99th percentile on the SAT and has excellent communication skills. He enjoys teaching and passing on his knowledge to his students.



Tina X.
University of Toronto

Tina is currently studying Economics and International Relations at the University of Toronto, and participated in the prestigious Trinity One Program in International Relations. She was the recipient of a number of entrance scholarships. During the school year, Tina is an avid debater with the Hart House Debating Union, and is also an analyst with the G8/20 Research Group.

Tina scored 2330 on the SAT reasoning test, with a perfect 800 in reading, 770 in writing, and 760 in math. She has extensive experience in tutoring subjects from English to Music History and makes it her goal to engage every student. In her free time, Tina enjoys running, learning German, doing yoga, and baking.



Natalie Y.

Harvard University

Natalie graduated cum laude from Harvard University in 2009 in Anthropology and Linguistics, and is now studying Engineering Science at the University of Toronto. She also won numerous Harvard fellowships to conduct research in the Middle East and Europe, including the President’s Discretionary Fund for the Middle East, the Harvard College Research Program, the Dean’s Summer Research Awards, and the Goelet Fund for Anthropology.

Natalie scored 1510 out of 1600 on the SAT, and on the GRE earned 740 on Verbal (99th percentile) and a perfect 800 on Math. She also scored a 170 on the LSAT. She has over 6 years of private tutoring experience and has taught English in the French Public School System.

Natalie is fluent in English, French and conversational Ukrainian, and has a reading knowledge of German, Latin, Ancient Greek and Ancient Egyptian.



Katherine X.
University of Western Ontario

Kathy is studying Finance at the University of Western Ontario, with pre-admission into the Richard Ivey School of Business. She scored in the 99th percentile (2260) on the SAT Reasoning Test and the French and World History SAT Subject Tests, and she earned a perfect score of 800 on the Math II Subject Test. She started at UWO with a 95+ average, earning her the highest possible entrance scholarship, and is also one of few recipients of the AEO Award of Excellence, selected by the Ivey Admissions Committee.

Kathy is an experienced SAT tutor for both the Reasoning and Subject Tests, and she has additional experience tutoring athletes seeking sports scholarships to American universities. She believes in building practice and familiarity with the SATs and helps her students with mental preparation and strategies to face challenging questions. Kathy is fluent in English, French, and Mandarin, and is learning Japanese. She enjoys oil painting in her free time.



Graeme B.

Mount Allison University

Graeme studied law at the University of Toronto and at McGill University's Faculty of Law. He graduated from Mount Allison University in International Relations with First Class Honours and was on the Dean's List.

He scored in the 99th percentile on both the LSAT (177) and SAT (1560). A gifted test taker, he enjoys helping students learn the methodologies and strategies necessary to improve their scores. He also has teaching experience as an English teacher in France and as a teaching assistant during his undergraduate years. He is fluent in French and Spanish, and enjoys squash, running and cycling.



Sarah P.

Sarah graduated from McGill University with a First Class Joint Honours B.A. in International Development and Gender Studies, as well as a minor in French Language & Literature. During her degree she worked as a Student Council coordinator for McGill Residences, and as a university tour guide. She was awarded the Tania Zouikin Arts Internship Award, which allowed her to work with an international NGO in Cape Town, South Africa for three months. Sarah also studied abroad at the National University of Singapore for one semester, where she tutored other foreign exchange students in conversational English.

Sarah scored in the 99th percentile on both the SAT and the LSAT (172), and studies at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. She enjoys leading classes, as well as working with students individually, and cherishes the “Eureka!” moments when students grasp new concepts that will help them succeed.

Jessica graduated from University of Cambridge with a Masters of Philosophy in Medieval and Renaissance Literature. She also graduated with a Bachelor in Honours English from the University of British Columbia, where she was on the Dean's List for all 4 years and recipient of numerous scholarships.

While at UBC, she organized an impromptu Shakespeare reading society and at Cambridge, was the principal violist for their symphony orchestra. She enjoys teaching and mentorship and loves encouraging her students to make the most out of their abilities. She is especially passionate about literature and helping her students improve their love of the English language.



Andrew S.
McGill University

Andrew is currently studying Anatomy and Cell Biology at McGill University. He was awarded the James McGill Entrance Scholarship and is maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Andrew also completed the IB Program at Victoria Park C.I. Outside of studying he spends a great deal of time organizing events with the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

He wrote the MCAT and scored in the 99.5th percentile. He scored in the 99th percentile on every section of the SAT (2320 total) and scored a perfect 800 on both the Math II and Chemistry Subject Tests. Andrew has an easy-going, welcoming personality that allows students to feel comfortable and express their primary concerns and requirements. He takes an active interest in ensuring that every student can take as much out of each class as possible. In his free time, Andrew enjoys playing basketball and volleyball, reading and playing his guitar.



Ainslie K.

Ainslie graduated magna cum laude from Brown University in 2006 in Comparative Literature. While there, she served as writer, editor and executive editor for Brown University's The Critical Review.

Recently, she has worked in editorial and media development, which require her to utilize her strong language and communications skills. She is proficient in French, having received the DALF C2, the most advanced certification awarded by the French Ministry of Education for both written and oral proficiency.

She scored in the 99th percentile (175) on the October 2010 administration of the LSAT. She also scored 1570 out of 1600 on the SAT and a perfect 800 on the SAT Writing section. She possesses extensive experience teaching and tutoring students of many different age levels.

Jenny is currently pursuing her BSc in Neuroscience at Brown University. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto Schools, where she won awards for achievement in Classics and French. She scored 2350 on the SAT (800 Critical Reading, 780 Math, 770 Writing), earned a perfect 800 on the SAT II Chemistry Subject Test, and scored in the 99th percentile on the French and Math II Subject Tests.

Jenny is a skilled and experienced SAT instructor and enjoys helping students learn the most effective strategies to maximize their personal improvement on this exam. Pamela graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in English. While there, she was on the Dean's list and studied abroad for a year at Oxford University. She continued her studies in the UK at the University of York, graduating with a Masters degree in Eighteenth Century Studies.

She scored 1460 out of 1600 on the SATs and a perfect 800 on the SAT Writing section. She has a wealth of professional experience, ranging from working in public relations, as a freelance writer and as a web editor. In addition, she wrote and performed in comedy sketches for Bloomers and was a humor editor for 34th Street Magazine. She is fluent in French and Hebrew and takes avid interest in women's roles and rights.



Ushnish D.

Ushnish is in the final year of completing his Mathematics Honours degree at the University of Waterloo. While at Waterloo, he has been on the Dean's Honours List and has been awarded the President's Scholarship with Distinction, the Rene Descartes Scholarship, and the Old Victorian Gold Medal for Academic Excellence. He has also won the Gold Medal in the Singapore Chemistry Olympiad.

He has several years of private tutoring experience with both high school, and 1st and 2nd year university students. He teaches algebra, calculus, chemistry, physics and statistics. He scored 2280 out of 2400 on the SAT Reasoning Test, and 800 on the Math, Physics and Chemistry Subject Tests. He enjoys reading, playing squash, tennis and basketball, and painting.

Tom is currently pursuing a degree in the rigorous Engineering Science program at the University of Toronto. He is a Galbraith Scholar and has received numerous academic recognition for his achievement in math and science. He placed 2nd nationally in the OAPT physics contest, 1st place in Canada for the Gauss math contest and was a finalist for the Ontario Chemistry Olympiad. Last summer, he interned at Google in their Android division.

With over 700 hours of private tutoring experience, Tom brings a wealth of experience in helping students achieve their academic goals. He is enthusiastic about teaching and trains students not only in math and science, but also in test preparation. He scored 2320 on the SATs (Math: 800, Critical Reading: 760, Writing: 760) and a perfect 800 on the Math Level 2, Physics and Chemistry Subject tests. Tonya is a graduate of Queen's University with a degree in Political Science. She scored 1530 out of a possible 1600 on the SAT, with a perfect 800 in Critical Reading and 730 in Math.

Tonya is a gifted communicator and helps provide a learning environment that is both fun and productive for her students. She specializes in preparing students for standardized tests like the SAT and SSAT. She has prepared dozens of students for the SAT and SSAT, teaching extensively both in a classroom setting and in one-on-one environments. She finds aptitude tests fun and simple, a sentiment that she brings to her students.



Jaymin K.
Harvard University

Jaymin is currently pursuing a degree in Social Studies at Harvard University. She has won numerous accolades for her academics, including winning the Governor General Award and achieving the highest average in her region. She scored a perfect 2400 on her SATs, a feat only accomplished by about 200 students of 1.4 million test takers a year.

She brings much experience with tutoring and instructing, and is passionate about helping students academically succeed. She is also an avid debator, having participated in national competitions and at the Harvard Speech and Parliamentary Debate Society. In her spare time, she loves playing the piano and enjoys writing poetry.
