About Our GMAT Program
What are the class sizes?
Our GMAT classes are no larger than 8 students, in order to ensure
that every student receives sufficient individual attention from the instructor.
How is Ivy Global different than other schools?
Most schools provide instructors who do not possess the skills and experience
necessary for effective GMAT teaching. The teaching method at these schools
is often generic and does not sufficiently recognize the unique needs
of each student. Ivy Global prides itself on its uniquely tailored program
and its top quality instructors.
Who are your GMAT instructors?
We carefully choose instructors who combine outstanding performance on
the GMAT with a passion for teaching. Our instructors are experts in teaching
the GMAT.
Should I take a GMAT class or private tutoring?
Both our GMAT classes and our one-on-one private GMAT tutoring will provide
you with the knowledge and preparation you need to improve your performance
on the GMAT. The classes are well suited for students who are new to the
GMAT and who want to learn about all aspects of the test. Private tutoring
is well suited for students who learn more effectively in a one-on-one
context, or who need to improve on only specific sections or question
types on the GMAT.
Which GMAT class should I take?
Ivy Global offers both a Full Course (80 hrs) and a Crash Course (32 hrs).
Both our GMAT classes will cover all aspects of the test and will equip
you with the most effective strategies for tackling every question type
on the test. The Crash Course will cover all the essential concepts whereas
the Full Course will cover each of the concepts more thoroughly. We recommend
taking the class that will best fit with your schedule and budget.
Will the student be taking practice exams during classes?
Yes. Since the GMAT requires intensely analyzing very dense material in
a very short amount of time, it is essential for students to experience
writing the test under accurate test conditions. Our classes will provide
practice sections from actual, previously administered GMAT’s for
students to practice their newly acquired skills and strategies. Our longer
courses offer more practice exams.
Do you help with the other aspects of the admissions process?
Yes. In addition to the GMAT, we help students with:
- Business School Planning - Creating a "business
school profile", setting target schools and developing a goal
list necessary to improve your chances of admission.
- Personal Statement - Choosing a topic, setting a narrative
perspective and refining key points to address.
- References - Approaching professors and employers, advice on who should
you ask, and writing thank you notes
- Interview - Interview tips and advice.
- General - Admission tips, school specific considerations,
and application timelines.
