How do successful students maintain high marks? What is the secret to improved
test scores? Why do some students do well in school with seeming little
effort? Anyone interested in improving test scores and earning high marks
should attend this seminar.
Students who perform well in school and on standardized tests use effective
study and time management strategies. This workshop will help students and
their parents develop an individualized study and time management plan that
works.
Essay Writing Workshop
Cost: Free
The new SSAT asks younger students to write a short story; older students
are expected to write an argumentative essay. Teachers and admissions officers
use these essays to learn more about potential and current students, to
determine students’ fluency in English, and to evaluate critical and
creative thinking. This workshop will introduce parents and students to
both creative and argumentative essays and will offer strategies to help
students become better writers.
