MCAT Tutoring in Canada
Our MCAT tutoring program allows students to enjoy one-on-one instruction,
customized to focus on the sections or concepts in which they are having the
most trouble. Our tutors help students develop effective strategies to tackle
every type of question on the MCAT, in accordance with each student’s
unique learning style and strengths and weaknesses. One-on-one tutoring is
especially helpful for students who find themselves consistently losing marks
on specific question types (e.g. on sequencing games or on flaws or assumptions
questions). The private tutoring sessions are held at our convenient location
near our offices or at the student's home.
The quality of our instructors is the reason why Ivy Global provides premier
MCAT instruction. We've carefully chosen only the best instructors who scored
in the 97th percentile or higher on standardized tests. Our tutors and instructors
are experts who effectively impart their knowledge to their students.

MCAT Tutoring FAQ
Who are your MCAT tutors?
We carefully choose tutors who combine outstanding performance on the MCAT
with a passion for teaching. Our tutors are experts in teaching the MCAT.
How long are your tutoring sessions?
Our MCAT tutoring sessions are typically 2 hours in length. Of course, we
are flexible and we can extend the tutoring session if requested.
What is covered in a typical 2-hour tutoring session?
Every tutoring session is different. We completely customize our sessions
to the needs of the student. If a student is getting excellent scores on one
section but losing many marks on another, we will focus only on the latter.
A typical tutoring session might include an overview of the different types
of questions, demonstrating the most effective strategies to tackle each type,
working through practice problems, or reinforcing tips and strategies.
How much tutoring do I need?
You should discuss this with your tutor and build a custom program that fits
your needs and budget. The factors that you should consider when determining
how much tutoring you need are your score improvement goal, the specific concepts
and skills that you need to improve, the amount of time before your MCAT test
date, and your budget.
How much homework do you assign?
At Ivy Global, we understand students are busy with school work and extra-curricular
activities. During the session, the tutor will discuss with the student on
how many hours they can devote to MCAT preparation and will assign an appropriately
level of homework for the student. For weekly sessions, a typical level of
homework may be 2-4 hours per week. We typically assign more homework during
the summer than during the school year.
When can I arrange MCAT tutoring?
MCAT tutoring can be arranged on both weekdays and weekends. The dates and
times (Monday-Sunday: 10am-9pm) are very flexible and depends on the availability
of our tutors. Most students arrange tutoring on a weekly basis, but we can
also accommodate less frequent tutoring as well as intensive preparation.
How do I sign-up for tutoring?
Please email us at email@example.com or call us at 1-800-470-2995.
What is your cancellation policy?
For any tutoring session that is cancelled at least 24 hours beforehand, no
cancellation fee will be incurred. For sessions cancelled within 24 hours,
a fee equivalent to 1 hour of tutoring will be charged.
What if I am not happy with my tutor?
At Ivy Global, we only hire the best. We are confident that you will find
each of our tutors engaging and effective as instructors. If for whatever
reason you are not satisfied with your tutor, please contact us immediately
and we will do our best to make any necessary adjustments.
