University of Alberta Faculty of Law is the oldest faculty of law in western Canada, established in 1912, located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
The University of Alberta Faculty of Law is known particularly for its focus on the fundamentals of law.
As the first law school in Western Canada, the University of Alberta Faculty of Law significantly established the practice of law in Western Canada and is often considered one of Canada's most respected schools of law.

Admission Committee Considerations
- rely primarily on GPA and LSAT score, GPA determined by reference to the applicant's most recent 60 units/credits (equivalent to 10 full courses or 20 half couress) of study
- GPA and LSAT used to create Prediction Indicator to rank regular applicants, in limited number of cases, Committee may consider factors beyond the Prediction Indicator, including difficulty and quality of the academic program, employment experience, extracurricular and community acitvities, and physical, cultural and economic factors
- Average instead of best LSAT score considered
