The University of British Columbia Faculty of Law is one of the largest English language legal programs in Canada, with over 600 law students.

The three-year Juris Doctor (J.D.) program is noted for its coursework breadth. The faculty also offers Master of Laws (LL.M.), Master of Jurisprudence (M.Jur.) and doctorate (Ph. D.) degrees.

The faculty has a unique emphasis on Pacific Rim issues, aboriginal law, and feminist law.

Regular Admission Requirements

"...obtained an undergraduate degree in an approved course of studies from an approved university, Approved courses of studiees are those leading to a standard university degree OR completed the first three yeras (minimum 90 credits) or more of an approved course of studies leading to an undergraduate degree or completed the equivalent at an approved university. Full compliment of third year level courses must be completed by the end of the Spring Semester.

Admission Committee Considerations "....consider all complete courses leading to your first undergraduate degree, if you are currently enrolled in your final year, those courses will not be included in the calculation of your GPA. 12 of your worst credits are excluded if you have a four-year degree, (the equivalent of 4 semester courses or two year long classes). if you are third year, 6 of your worst credits excluded."
