Janice graduated from Columbia University with an MFA degree in poetry and literature. As an undergraduate, she attended the University of Florida, where she majored in English and graduated summa cum laude. While there, she maintained a 3.96 GPA, with a 4.0 in English, her major course of study.

Janice has years of teaching and tutoring experience, including teaching a Columbia Artists/Teachers undergraduate class at Columbia and tutoring students of varying ages in essay writing, creative writing, SAT, SSAT, TOEFL and college essays. She has also worked at The New Yorker magazine and published poetry in several wide-circulation North American literary magazines.

Dave is studying for a Juris Doctor (JD) at the University of Toronto Law School. He received admissions to other top US law schools, including Columbia University, NYU and UC Berkeley. As an undergraduate at the University of Toronto, he excelled in academics, graduating with High Distinction and a 3.82 GPA, and was the winner of the Management Apprentice Program.

Dave scored in the 99th percentile on the LSAT. He is a gifted communicator and enjoys preparing students for LSAT, where he believes that preparation is the key to success. In addition, he is particular interested in helping students navigate the law school application process, which he is intimately familiar with. Jaime R.

Jaime is pursuing her PhD at Princeton University's Department of Politics, with a focus on political economy. She received a full, 7-year scholarship from Princeton, and was also the recipient of multiple research awards and prizes. Jaime also has an MA from Princeton and a BA (Hon) from McGill University, where she graduated with a 3.9 GPA and received McGill's prestigious Scarlet Key Award for community leadership.

Jaime specializes in working with students to improve their college applications, specializing in Ivy League and other top US universities. She also teaches the SSAT and SAT, working closely with students to build their math, vocabulary, and reading comprehension skills. When she is not working on her dissertation or teaching at Ivy Global, Jaime enjoys salsa dancing, hip hop music, and ice hockey.



Levon G.

Levon is currently attending the Schulich School of Business at York University. He was awarded the Tannah H. Schulich iBBA Entrance Scholarship and a full entrance merit scholarship. While there, he is maintaining a A/A+ average and is a President of the York Investment Club, York University's largest club with 300 members.

He scored in the 99th percentile on the LSAT and has extensive tutoring experience. He has strong written and verbal communicaton skills and enjoys passing on his knowledge to his students. Steve graduated from Queen's University with a Masters degree in English Literature. He also graduated with a bachelors degree from University of Western Ontario, where he was a Double Gold Medalist for the Highest Graduating Average in both English and History. He has received numerous awards, including the Swankie Award in American History, one of Canada's largest undergraduate history awards. He was also elected High School Valedictorian.

He scored 99th percentile on the SAT and has excellent communication skills. He enjoys teaching and passing on his knowledge to his students.



Tina X.

Tina is currently studying Economics and International Relations at the University of Toronto, and participated in the prestigious Trinity One Program in International Relations. She was the recipient of a number of entrance scholarships. During the school year, Tina is an avid debater with the Hart House Debating Union, and is also an analyst with the G8/20 Research Group.

Tina scored 2330 on the SAT reasoning test, with a perfect 800 in reading, 770 in writing, and 760 in math. She has extensive experience in tutoring subjects from English to Music History and makes it her goal to engage every student. In her free time, Tina enjoys running, learning German, doing yoga, and baking.



Ainslie K.

Ainslie graduated magna cum laude from Brown University in 2006 in Comparative Literature. While there, she served as writer, editor and executive editor for Brown University's The Critical Review.

Recently, she has worked in editorial and media development, which require her to utilize her strong language and communications skills. She is proficient in French, having received the DALF C2, the most advanced certification awarded by the French Ministry of Education for both written and oral proficiency.

She scored in the 99th percentile (175) on the October 2010 administration of the LSAT. She also scored 1570 out of 1600 on the SAT and a perfect 800 on the SAT Writing section. She possesses extensive experience teaching and tutoring students of many different age levels.



Natalie Y.

Natalie graduated cum laude from Harvard University in 2009 in Anthropology and Linguistics, and is now studying Engineering Science at the University of Toronto. She also won numerous Harvard fellowships to conduct research in the Middle East and Europe, including the President’s Discretionary Fund for the Middle East, the Harvard College Research Program, the Dean’s Summer Research Awards, and the Goelet Fund for Anthropology.

Natalie scored 1510 out of 1600 on the SAT, and on the GRE earned 740 on Verbal (99th percentile) and a perfect 800 on Math. She also scored a 170 on the LSAT. She has over 6 years of private tutoring experience and has taught English in the French Public School System.

Natalie is fluent in English, French and conversational Ukrainian, and has a reading knowledge of German, Latin, Ancient Greek and Ancient Egyptian.



Douglas M.

Douglas is currently a 4th year student at McGill University, majoring in Physiology. While at McGill, he has maintained a 3.96 GPA and is on the Dean's Honor List. He has won numerous distinctions, including the Emily Ross Crawford Scholarship, Duncan Cameron Prize in Physiology, and Gamet and Jane Shaver Veteran's Scholarship.

He scored a 99.4th percentile on his MCAT exam with a 39R. For the last two summers, he has dedicated himself to working in a research laboratory, at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto.

He is an enthusiastic teacher and has taught students from younger children in swimming to university level students in science courses. He is bilingual in English and French, and plans to apply to medical school in the fall.

Zahra graduated from Duke University with a degree in Public Policy and Global Health. While there, she was on the Dean's List for 3 years. She attended St. Clement's School in Toronto, where she was an AP National Scholar.

She scored 1460 out of 1600 on the SATs and a perfect 800 on the SAT Writing section. She has a wealth of professional experience, ranging from working in public relations, as a freelance writer and as a web editor. In addition, she wrote and performed in comedy sketches for Bloomers and was a humor editor for 34th Street Magazine. Katherine X.

Kathy is studying Finance at the University of Western Ontario, with pre-admission into the Richard Ivey School of Business. She scored in the 99th percentile (2260) on the SAT Reasoning Test and the French and World History SAT Subject Tests, and she earned a perfect score of 800 on the Math II Subject Test. She started at UWO with a 95+ average, earning her the highest possible entrance scholarship, and is also one of few recipients of the AEO Award of Excellence, selected by the Ivey Admissions Committee.

Kathy is an experienced SAT tutor for both the Reasoning and Subject Tests, and she has additional experience tutoring athletes seeking sports scholarships to American universities. She believes in building practice and familiarity with the SATs and helps her students with mental preparation and strategies to face challenging questions. Kathy is fluent in English, French, and Mandarin, and is learning Japanese. She enjoys oil painting in her free time.

Graeme studied law at the University of Toronto and at McGill University's Faculty of Law. He graduated from Mount Allison University in International Relations with First Class Honours and was on the Dean's List.

He also has teaching experience as an English teacher in France and as a teaching assistant during his undergraduate years. Sarah graduated from McGill University with a First Class Joint Honours B.A. in International Development and Gender Studies, as well as a minor in French Language & Literature. During her degree she worked as a Student Council coordinator for McGill Residences, and as a university tour guide. She was awarded the Tania Zouikin Arts Internship Award, which allowed her to work with an international NGO in Cape Town, South Africa for three months. Sarah also studied abroad at the National University of Singapore for one semester, where she tutored other foreign exchange students in conversational English.

Sarah scored in the 99th percentile on both the SAT and the LSAT (172), and studies at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. She enjoys leading classes, as well as working with students individually, and cherishes the “Eureka!” moments when students grasp new concepts that will help them succeed.

Jessica graduated from University of Cambridge with a Masters of Philosophy in Medieval and Renaissance Literature. She also graduated with a Bachelor in Honours English from the University of British Columbia, where she was on the Dean's List for all 4 years and recipient of numerous scholarships.

While at UBC, she organized an impromptu Shakespeare reading society and at Cambridge, was the principal violist for their symphony orchestra. She enjoys teaching and mentorship and loves encouraging her students to make the most out of their abilities. She is especially passionate about literature and helping her students improve their love of the English language.



Andrew S.

Andrew is currently studying Anatomy and Cell Biology at McGill University. He was awarded the James McGill Entrance Scholarship and is maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Andrew also completed the IB Program at Victoria Park C.I. Outside of studying he spends a great deal of time organizing events with the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

He wrote the MCAT and scored in the 99.5th percentile. He scored in the 99th percentile on every section of the SAT (2320 total) and scored a perfect 800 on both the Math II and Chemistry Subject Tests. Andrew has an easy-going, welcoming personality that allows students to feel comfortable and express their primary concerns and requirements. He takes an active interest in ensuring that every student can take as much out of each class as possible. In his free time, Andrew enjoys playing basketball and volleyball, reading and playing his guitar.

At various levels, Paul has been active in teaching and tutoring. In particular, he has experience helping students perform well on the DAT and other standardized tests. He also has extensive tutoring experience in general sciences and with Advanced Placement coursework.

Her first novel was recently published by Random House Canada to critical acclaim, and will be published in 2012 by Farrar, Straus and Giroux US, and Penguin Australia/NZ. Martha’s articles, book reviews and fiction have appeared in The Globe and Mail, The New Quarterly, ELLE Canada, Broken Pencil, and Maisonneuve.

Martha has been the recipient of several academic awards and scholarships. She has extensive experience teaching writing and literature at both the high school and university level and helping students prepare for all sections of the SSAT. As a teacher, she is patient and enthusiastic, eager to impart her love of reading and learning.



Jenny G.

Jenny is in the final year of completing her double major degree of Neuroscience and Psychology at the University of Toronto. She has won numerous awards for her academic achievement and community involvement, including the Canadian Millennium Scholarship, the University of Toronto Scholar Award, and Cadillac Fairview SPIRE Scholarship.

Jenny has over 4 years of teaching and tutoring experience and has helped hundreds of students pursue a post-secondary education. She taught math and science at a private high school for 3 years and recently started teaching at a public college in Toronto. She is familiar with the SAT Subject Tests, Advance Placement courses and International Baccalaureate curriculum, and enjoys working with students individually to help improve their scores. Jenny also enjoys teaching younger students (grade 1-8) and is currently working with Ivy Global in the development of the Junior Math program. Anthony Y.

Anthony is a recent graduate of McGill University, majoring in Biochemistry (Honours Stream). While maintaining a ~3.9 GPA, Anthony has served multiple leadership positions at McGill, including Co- President of the Biochemistry Undergraduate Society. Last year, Anthony received an NSERC student research scholarship, working closely with a professor on viral proteins.

Anthony has had many experiences as a teacher. Aron received his B.A. in English with honors and distinction from Cornell University in 2011. He holds an M.A. in English from University of Toronto, where he is currently a J.D. Candidate in the Faculty of Law. During his time as an undergraduate, Aron studied everything from Ancient Greek (helps with the SAT verbal section!) to evolutionary biology, and spent a year at Cambridge University, where he also rowed for his college (Robinson).

Among her many awards for academic excellence, Anneke won a Canada Graduate Scholarship—a federal research grant for graduate students—for her Master's thesis. Anneke is currently pursuing further studies in the nutritional sciences program at Ryerson University.

Huan completed his Bachelor's of Business Administration at the University of Toronto and is currently pursuing an MBA at the Rotman School of Management. He also obtained his Chartered Accountant designation while working as an auditor in Toronto.

Huan obtained a GMAT score of 740 while preparing for his application to the Rotman School of Management. He has a passion for teaching and helping students to maximize their potential. Chung-Sang T.

Chung-Sang graduated from the University of Toronto with a triple degree in Physiology, Psychology and Physics. In the fall, she will be attending Yale School of Medicine. Chung-Sang scored in the 99th percentile on the MCAT. Nidhi is currently a 4th year student at the University of Toronto, St. George, specializing in Neuroscience. During her time at UofT, she has maintained an excellent academic record as well as partaken in many conferences. At an international Bioethics Conference in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia, she was the only undergraduate student in the world selected to present her paper on neurosurgical practice.

Scoring in the 99.8th percentile on the MCAT, she has a high knowledge of the subject matter that she offers to students in a digestible, straightforward way. In an effort to tackle problems of various difficulty levels, she teaches students to approach each question from the basic level and add components to supplement that knowledge. She is also a huge mental health advocate and hopes to combine aspects of medical education and her experience with research to provide an effective resource for people with mental disorders.

Ushnish is in the final year of completing his Mathematics Honours degree at the University of Waterloo. While at Waterloo, he has been on the Dean's Honours List and has been awarded the President's Scholarship with Distinction, the Rene Descartes Scholarship, and the Old Victorian Gold Medal for Academic Excellence. He has also won the Gold Medal in the Singapore Chemistry Olympiad.

Tom is currently pursuing a degree in the rigorous Engineering Science program at the University of Toronto. He is a Galbraith Scholar and has received numerous academic recognition for his achievement in math and science. He placed 2nd nationally in the OAPT physics contest, 1st place in Canada for the Gauss math contest and was a finalist for the Ontario Chemistry Olympiad. Last summer, he interned at Google in their Android division.

Jaymin is currently pursuing a degree in Social Studies at Harvard University. She has won numerous accolades for her academics, including winning the Governor General Award and achieving the highest average in her region. She scored a perfect 2400 on her SATs, a feat only accomplished by about 200 students of 1.4 million test takers a year.

She brings much experience with tutoring and instructing, and is passionate about helping students academically succeed. She is also an avid debator, having participated in national competitions and at the Harvard Speech and Parliamentary Debate Society. In her spare time, she loves playing the piano and enjoys writing poetry.



Jae M.
